I am not one who enjoys being in front of the camera....and my size has always had a lot to do with that...but I am really proud of all the progress/changes I have made over the past few years that I wanted to share with you.....here is a brief history in pictures of my weightloss....I am currently 152 pounds and still losing!
finally a flash!
thanks to hubby who just ordered me this flash for an early Christmas present!
My old flash (the 430 EX) was stolen when our house was burglarized last year - only I didn't realize it until many months later when I couldn't find it....and I couldn't be bothered to dealing with the insurance when we had already 'settled'.....so I have been 'flashless' since then (because the 5D doesn't even have an on-board flash).
I always try to avoid using flash when possible anyhow...and most of lenses are fast enough to usually make that possible...but somtimes even a f1.4 lens isn't fast enough to get decent shutter speeds...
So as our dark,dreary winter approaches I will now have all the bases covered!
as promised...
pics of our laundry room model (mostly finished). I still want to add a counter top to the wall over top of the washer and dryer and get rid of that horrible tub sink and replace with a drop in sink....and put a cabinet below...but it is already so much better than before (I've included a before pic to remind you).
so far the flooring was replaced, the walls and cabinets (inside and out) were repainted, new hardware for the cabinets, new pics, and a new rug, and of course the new washer/dryer.
there's probably a hundred things
that I should be doing right now...but I am not...I am going to post this picture that I found in photoshop that I somehow missed the first time around....
I am sure glad that I don't delete too many of my pictures...because I frequently go back and 'revisit' old images with fresh eyes, or new photoshop skills and am pleasantly surprised. This is one such case....
while I am thinking of it....anyone have any hints/tips on formating posts in typepad...I have the hardest time...they often look 'different' than when 'previewed' before I post. The text and images are often 'rearranged' when i post - like in my last post - the text was supposed to 'line up' in a more sensible manner...but for the life of me I can't get it to post that way....argh.
hmmmm....where do I start?
my blog has been neglected lately......mostly due to computer problems....my computer needed to be sent in twice due to virus issues....hopefully it will be okay for awhile now. Here is a bit of a synopsis of things around here for the last little while... (in no particular order!)
Delaney started soccer - she had her first game....she loves it!
oh - and I had a new logo/watermark designed by the absolutely fabulous Taslim Sidi . the original and horizontal versions are shown on the two images above....i love it!
Jacqueline joined Cross-country at school and had her first meet last weekend.....she is not the strongest runner on the team....but she wasn't last. I am not sure she really knew what she was signing up for when she signed up for this to be honest....but she hasn't mentioned quitting...and she has another meet tomorrow morning....she is looking for 'me' in this photo below taken at her first meet as she is nearly finishes the race.
Delaney also learned to blow bubbles with gum - once she had it in her head that she was going to learn this skill there was no distracting her....several days and countless pieces of gum later......
I also got my laundry room mostly re-done.....just need the countertop and new sink/cabinet. It looks sooo much better....I haven't taken a picture of it yet - I need to tidy it up first because as is life with four kids - the laundry room is well-used and doesn't stay 'picture perfect' for long. Will post pics of it soon though....

I took way too many pics during this past week in Whistler (well I don't think that is actually possible!)...but I did take LOTS! It was too hard to narrow it down to just a couple to post here....so I made up this quick collage to squeeze in a few extra....(click on it for a slightly larger view)....

well this second leak/flood fiasco is resulting me getting the new washer/dryer set that I have been wanting for LONG time....but never seemed to make it to the top of the priority list....but I was able to work the fear of a 'repeat incident' to my advantage and soon to be arriving at my house are these babies!
without the pedestals because I want to put a counter top over them....
