Well.....I didn't do soooo great over Christmas/vacation....I ended up gaining 3 pounds back....but I guess it could have been worse. I have since lost those 3 pounds again plus another 3, so I am back on track.
Here is a pic of me while in Mexico - I weighed about 147 here:
I am currently 142 pounds. My goal is still 130 pounds. I plan to be at my goal by (or before) I run the Sun Run in April.
I have some 'news' regarding my fitness regime lately too. I am still working out with my personal trainer on mon-wed-fri....but I also started a Sun Run Learn to Run 10K faster program - so I am also running 3 times/week (right now about 2 hours/week total)......AND....get this.....
I have also registered for my first TRIATHALON!!!! I can't believe I did it...I have thought about it as a goal for a while now...but it is soooo easy to continue just 'thinking' about it and keeping on my 'to do list'.... But I did it - I actually registered for it!
I am doing this triathalon in Oliver, BC on June 15th of this year. If you click on the link and then click on the link at the top right for "entrants list' you will see my name!
Part of what has held me back from this goal of a triathalon was the knowledge that I am a CRAPPY swimmer....I have never had lessons so I never learned the 'technique' of swimming....never really felt comfortable with the 'side breathing' for freestyle....soooooo...I have registered to private swim lessons at UBC pool. I came across this website online while I was searching for information about swim lessons. It is about a technique called 'total immersion' and it looked intriguing to say the least. Watch the videos (there are several videos but you need to scroll down) linked at the top (by clicking on the bandwidth button) and tell me if you agree. Anyway - I clicked on the 'find a coach' link and discovered that there are 3 coaches listed for Canada and one is in Vancouver and trains at the pool only 10 mins from my house! I am starting swim lessons on Feb. 19th....
So my week will also have 2 swims in it and I will also have to fit in some longer bike rides as well! I am also excited because I have to (get to) get a new bike because my current bike is not anywhere near a road racing bike!
